I love log cabin block. I’ve made many traditional log cabin quilts but I also discovered that this block can be versatile and be used in modern quilts. I don’t make a precise log cabin block; instead, I work spontaneously and sew narrow strips around the small center until I am satisfied with the size, shape, color and value combination.
