I started as a traditional quilter and it took me many years to get where I am now. But once in a while, for a special occasion, I make a traditional quilt. This time it was a quilt for a little girl that I couldn’t refuse making.
This story started 6 years ago. I made a quilt from all fabrics with roses. I made 4 log cabin blocks that I modified a little to look like hearts:
This quilt went to Nora, still a little girl then. Nora loved her little blankie nearly to pieces. Literary:
Last summer I received a disturbing e-mail from Nora’s Mom: Nora lost her quilt and was very upset. They were asking if I could make another quilt exactly the same as the first one.
I looked at my stash and luckily I had almost all fabrics that I used before. I wasn’t able to start working right away though. Meanwhile the missing quilt was found. Still they wanted a new quilt to be made. I couldn’t refuse. And here it is:
Nora’s birthday is coming in November. Happy birthday, Nora!
