Group of my friends, myself including, last weekend gathered deeply in a country in Lithuania for plain air 2016, the event that we hold every two years since 2008. This was our 5th plain air. It was held in a village that now has only one house left. It is a log cabin built 100 years ago with just one man living there at this time.
It used to be a village of 14 families, full of life. As every village in Lithuania, it had a cross by the road and was surrounded by fields of crops under beautiful sky. The road, the crops and the sky are still there…
The plain air 2016 was devoted to a lady bug so you will see lady bugs everywhere.
There was an opening ceremony and raising the flags and then everybody got busy making sketches and painting:
Even the dog participated:
Here are some results:
There was also music, and food and and just good time of being together:
I really enjoyed my time there. Even if it is not what I usually do, I think I will be inspired by some works created by my friends.
